What to do if the tablet shows the android settings screen instead of the Siera Scout application.

  • Problem symptoms: It has been observed that the tablet goes into an android permission settings screen after an android software update and Scout app does not open automatically.
  • Immediate Fix: Turn on scout after an android updates by turning on the slider for SCOUT. This will exit the settings screen and re-enable the Siera Scout application.
  • Long Term Fix: A new software update called Samsung Knox would be rolled out for all devices in late Q2 2022. That will resolve it permanently.
